It’s hard for me to pinpoint just one favorite mascara, as I love a couple of Japanese brands, a Max Factor 2000 Calorie version with a plastic brush and Kevyn Aucoin’s Volumizing formula, but definitely ranking in my top 3 of all time is the venerable DiorShow Iconic. I liked the original formula, but when they added that plastic brush, well, dang…it was something else.
The formula isn’t too wet, so a simple swipe of the brush on a tissue will be enough to avoid clumps, and it glides on like a dream. I had zero clumping and long, full lashes. Better yet, it lasted almost a full day with very minimal smudging and no flaking. The brush doesn’t look all that different from something like Lash Blast or some of the other plastic brush mascaras out there, so I think it must be Dior’s secret recipe that makes this mascara so exceptionally good.
Run, don’t walk, to get this. It’s expensive, but worth every penny, IMO. It’s $27 on Sephora.com.
