Hello Painted Ladies! My name is Norma Blaque and I am a self-taught hair stylist, makeup artist, and photographer. Despite having many trials and tribulations in my life, my career has bloomed over the past twenty years, and I’ve run my own private beauty company providing hair, make-up and photography services for the last 11 years.
Life at the salon, and keeps me constantly busy, but no job is too small! I strive to be the best at what I do and create a wonderful experience for my clients, which include Audrina Patridge, Josie Maran, Paola Nunez, Ana Ortiz and Leyla Milani to name a few.
Some of the industry projects I’ve worked on include the development of a new product line for Sebastian, an interview on the re-release of Paramount Picture’s “Funny Face” starring Audrey Hepburn, a showcase on a Telemundo TV show called “Manita De Gato”, Elmer Ave’s Fashion Walk Off, as well as Jared Gold’s Czarina and Brett Baily’s House of Dolls for LA Fashion Week, Lingerie Bowl ’06, and Hooter’s fashion shows and calendar.
Currently, I am represented by The Crystal Wright Agency, which was a personal 10-year achievement goal. Since my collaboration with the Agency, my work has appeared in a 944 magazine editorials, and I’ve also worked on a Neiman Marcus fashion show featuring Prada, Escada, Stella McCartney and .
I believe that the key elements of life include education, encouragement, and dedication, and in that light, I’ve worked very closely with several charities, including The Surfrider Foundation, Abused and Battered Women’s Association, Independent Living Center, Shelter First Association, and the West Valley Occupational Center’s Cosmetology Department.
