Well, to be honest, I have a lot of favorites, but Bloom’s Lime Lip Balm in a pot has been in my top three for about seven years now, since I discovered it in a tiny beauty boutique.
This is one of the most true-to-life scents I’ve ever smelled. Its fragrance is that of a freshly sliced lime and it has a slight tangy flavor to go with it. It goes on smoothly, lasts a decent amount of time and heals my chronically chapped lips overnight.
The bonus is that there is virtually nothing unnatural in the ingredients list, which includes Castor Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Beeswax, Lime Oil, Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter.
One con to it is that the glass pot makes it difficult to get the balm out once you’re getting low, but I’ve found that using the little spatula you can get with skin creams (or even buy at Sally’s Beauty Supply) works well for this.
I sort of rediscovered Bloom’s lip balm because I hadn’t been to the little beauty boutique in ages, Bloom was no longer being carried at Sephora and so I had moved on to other brands. When I was in the newly opened Ulta here awhile ago and found it there, I instantly regretted not trying harder to find this when I ran out before!
